There, they engaged in the elegant custom of “winding-stream wine-cup drinking” (qushui liushang), spontaneously composed poetry, and wielded their brushes to create calligraphy—demonstrating how ancient Chinese seamlessly integrated nature, literature, and calligraphy into a unique way of life. They learn and master the "Four Keys" to decoding garden beauty: Borrowed Scenery (jie jing), Framed Scenery (kuang jing), Obstructed Scenery (zhang jing), and Leaking Scenery (lou jing). With the aid of AI-generated visual materials and an i妹妹ersive "AI Virtual Garden Tour" short film, students complete a multi-dimensional "Garden Exploration Worksheet." Based on this, they design and construct a "miniature garden" with a side length of no more than 30 cm. Their creation must skillfully integrate at least two of the learned garden-making techniques and be given an elegant name. Students can choose between two artistic forms: hand-drawn light watercolor or paper-cut collage (using multiple layers of cut-outs to represent framed and leaking scenery).
